Started the day with homemade bread and the most gorgeous view of Lake Zurich and the castle and city of Rapperswil. The owners of the B&B are just blessed.
Day was sunny and warm. After crossing the wooden pedestrian bridge I went for a little break with another gorgeous view of Lake Zurich and the city of Pfäffikon.
The ascent from Pfäffikon to Etzelpass was quite tough, but as the weather was nice, there was nothing to complain about.
After I crossed the pass, I noticed huge black clouds coming up, yet another thunderstorm. As Einsiedeln was not too far away, I started to sort of run. Passed 4 fellow hikers on my way and in the end made it to Einsiedeln before the thunderstorm really started.
When I reached the hotel, the sun came out again. Doh! All the running in vain. Anyway, after taking a shower the thunderstorm started, so I could conveniently watch the spectacle from my hotel window.
